"We are not the Hero: A Missionary's Guide for Sharing Christ Not a Culture of Dependency" by Jean Johnson

This book came highly recommended to me by Richard Hibbert, who is director of Sydney Missionary and Bible College's Missions Department.  It arrived today and I can't wait to read it.  I see many missionaries who are very gifted and highly motivated in their ministries.  But when they have had to leave their ministries, within a couple of years, the ministry has stopped or is a shell of what it was before.  The missionary was great at what they were doing but spent little time in training local workers and passing on their knowledge and skills.  So I totally agree with the premise of the title of this book.
