passport photos

Passport photos cost a heap. $12 at Australia Post for 4 photos. So here is my attempt to save money by printing out 8 photos on 1 photo which is standard 4x6 (which should only cost $0.29 at Kmart self service photo booth). I hope the passport office accepts the photo. It took about 50 shots to get one where son2 is looking straight, eyes open, mouth closed, with both ears showing as stipulated. The whole visa process can take 4-5 months so I need to send all our forms to Thailand this month.

  • Please pray that we will be able to get our documents to Thailand in time so that our visa is issued before we leave.
  • Praise God that L's back has been getting better.

Wow, that's a good photo! And he's changed so much since the day I saw him!

This used to be even harder in the days before digital. We had to estimate how much of a 4x6" frame should be filled with the face to get the correct size photo, then take some shots on a roll of 24 photos, then develop them & hope we were right. Then get the scissors out...

Or how about the days you had to sit in those terrible booths at the local shopping centre, and hope some joker didn't come bursting through the curtain at just the wrong moment...

Good job with the photo though.

Yup, good job. When we did ours for ben, SA accepted a pretty average photo but the Aust high comission wouldn't as it was scanned in for anti terror measures. Caused us a world of hurt. Your little one doesn't look like a terrorist though . . .
